DVConnect does not accept donated items, but many organisations do.
How to donate items
DVConnect cannot accept donated items but many other great charities within the domestic and family violence sector can. If you would like to support the work of DVConnect, we accept financial donations all year round. We’ve compiled a list of places below where you can donate items to those who need it.
Donate sanitary products
Share The Dignity is a national charity who helps those escaping violence access period products. This includes sanitary pads, tampons, period underwear, incontinence pads, menstrual cups etc. You can donate to their collection drives that happen each year in March, August and November. Donate your old mobile phone
You can donate your old mobile phone to DVSafePhone. They will erase, reset and test the phone to ensure it passes all the necessary tests to be safe for use for someone who needs it. Phones can be dropped into any Jeep dealership in Australia (Jeep are kindly covering the cost of sending your phones to DVSafePhone. Or, you can post your phone directly to DVSafePhone at: Ashton Wood, PO Box 1440 Mooloolaba QLD 4557.
Donate furniture
Gold Coast based charity RizeUp work with domestic and family violence services to furnish homes of survivors who left with no possessions. RizeUp can pick up the items from you. They accept beds, mattresses, linen, manchester, bedside cabinets and draws, towels, bathmats, washing machines, fridges, electrical appliances, TVs, TV units, curtains, lounge suites, dining tables and chairs, coffee tables. Donate small household items
Gold Coast based charity My Friends Place work alongside domestic and family violence services to provide smaller household items to Queenslanders who have escaped domestic and family violence. Items they need include: food, cleaning items, women’s clothing, books, DVD’s, craft items, towels, toiletries, soft furnishings, home decor and bedding and linen. They have drop off points at Helensvale, Oxenford, Upper Coomera and Coolangatta. Please contact My Friends Place to organise a time and you’ll then be provided with the address.

Donate to a refuge/shelter
If you would like to donate directly to a Queensland women’s shelter or refuge, please email the Combined Woman’s Refuge Group on to find out what they are in need of.
Donate specific items that are needed
Givit is a not-for-profit Australian charity that works directly with trusted support organisations within many sectors, including domestic and family violence. They talk to the service organisations that directly work with those who have need help, find out what they need and put out a call for donations. The current list is here.
